The Oxatrail is a Trail running race organized by The Sport People that takes place in the city of Oxapampa, in Pasco – Peru. In March 2024 the 3rd edition of the event will be held. We have 3 routes: 10k, 22k and 42km in the middle of nature with the best landscapes of the central jungle area.
Among the new features for 2024 is that we are already part of the world group ITRA (International Trail Running Association), which aims to give a voice to the actors of trail running to promote its strong values, its diversity, the safety of races and the health of runners, to contribute to the development of trail running and facilitate dialogue with national or international institutions interested in this sport. Our 22k distance gives 1 ITRA point and the 42k distance gives 2 ITRA points.
The Oxatrail experience includes you being part of and living the Oxapampina culture from the delivery of kits, the race routes in a combination of dirt, trails, grass, mud, stone, puddles of water, etc. and the post-race event celebrating with the Oxatrail family surrounded by amazing landscapes.

10K: Are you starting out in the world of trail running and want a route with incredible views of the city of Oxapampa? We recommend this distance, you will not regret it, it has a slope of almost 400 meters that is located in the first half of the route. It has 1 hydration point but we still recommend you go with a flask of water.
22K: Mountain half marathon, ideal for those with more experience in the sport. As a novelty, if you complete this distance you acquire an ITRA point. The route has a gradient of 1106 meters and two hydration points. Ideal to go with a hydration backpack. You cover many types of soil: dirt, trails, tracks, mud, grass, etc. Are you ready for this challenge?
42K: The bravest and most challenging of all, the mountain marathon (ULTRA). If you complete it you are eligible for two ITRA points, it has a gradient of 1648 meters and four hydration points. Yes or yes, carry a hydration backpack. Route that passes through countless terrains, you will feel a unique experience running in the middle of the jungle. Do you dare to do it?
